Cherry Training & Health Your Way
Cherry Training & Health Your Way improve the lives of disabled people through high-quality, accessible training and managed care support.
We last caught up with the team in 2024, shortly after they moved to Terry Dicken Business Park. Since then, a lot has changed. So, we spoke with Social Media Manager Milly to find out more.
A move that made room to grow
Firstly, the team has already expanded within the park.
“Just before Christmas we moved premises,” Milly explained. “We needed more room and wanted to grow the team. Now we have two separate offices and a really useful breakout space. Our new environment has enabled our growth.”
As a result, Cherry Training now has the space to develop its offering and team.
A brand that reflects who they are
Alongside the move, the business has undergone a full rebrand.
“It was important to rebrand because our old identity no longer reflected who we are or how the business has evolved,” said Milly. “The new website has been built with clients in mind. It’s much more user-friendly and makes it far easier to get in touch or explore individual courses.”
In addition, their e-learning platform has been completely refreshed. Clients can now browse and purchase courses directly online, while still benefiting from the same high-quality, face-to-face training delivered in their own homes.
Expanding the training offer
More recently, Cherry Training has introduced something new: Makaton.
Makaton is a language programme that uses signs, symbols, and speech to support communication. Particularly for individuals with learning or communication difficulties. Unlike formal sign language such as British Sign Language, Makaton works alongside spoken English to add visual meaning.
With training sessions already underway, this new addition further strengthens Cherry Training’s inclusive and practical approach.
Putting security first
At the same time, the team has been focusing on something equally important: data protection.
Milly explained, “The nature of our work means we handle very sensitive personal data, so gaining our Cyber Essentials certification was a big priority this year.”
This Cyber Essentials accreditation ensures their systems are protected against common cyber threats, giving clients confidence that their information remains secure at all times.
Health Your Way: supporting independence
Alongside Cherry Training, the team also runs a sister company, Health Your Way, which works closely with the training side of the business.
“Health Your Way provides information, advice and support to people with impairments who want to take control of their care,” Milly explained.
Through personal health budgets and managed accounts, the team helps clients organise and manage their own care. This can include everything from recruitment and payroll to DBS checks and insurance.
“We often see clients go through a long recruitment process, only for it not to work out. We can take that stress away by offering end-to-end support, much of which can be managed over the phone or digitally.”
As a result, the two organisations work hand in hand – combining practical support with specialist training to help people maintain independence and confidence in their care. Additionally, they have welcomed two new team members Sarah and Vicky into the fold.
Part of the park community
Finally, Milly shared what the team enjoys about being based on Terry Dicken Business Park:
“It’s great here – very easy to get to, and parking is really important, which we have plenty of! Everyone is lovely, and Mark has always been helpful and flexible.”
Looking ahead
Having delivered over 11,000 courses to more than 2,500 learners, Cherry Training continues to grow from strength to strength. With over 150 courses available – and more on the way – they remain committed to making training accessible, practical, and impactful.
