The Colour Haus
We first met Victoria, owner of The Colour Haus, back in 2022 when her luxury hair and beauty salon was already making waves on the Terry Dicken Business Park. Fast forward to today, and while plenty has changed, the heart of the business remains exactly the same: exceptional service, genuine care, and helping people feel great about themselves.
A team that’s evolved
Like many growing businesses, The Colour Haus has seen its team evolve over time. Since our last feature, several familiar faces have gone on to pursue exciting new chapters – from nursing and teaching to growing families (including the arrival of triplets!). “I’m genuinely proud of them all for following new paths,” Victoria says.
Today, the salon is led by Victoria and Laura, the main stylists, alongside Casey, the salon’s beautician, and Amelia, an apprentice hairdresser. Laura brings years of industry experience, including work at London Fashion Week, and even taught Victoria during her college days. “We’re both strong all-rounders,” Victoria explains, “with a great balance of experience and a shared approach to hair.”
That experience, combined with a welcoming atmosphere, keeps clients coming back. As one customer put it: “Other salons have made me feel like an old lady — but never here.” The Colour Haus prides itself on being just as accommodating to long-standing clients as it is to new ones.
More than hair – It’s confidence
For Victoria, the most rewarding part of running the salon is problem-solving. “People come in knowing they want to feel better, but not always knowing how,” she says. “Helping someone figure out a style they love – and can actually manage at home – is what I enjoy most. Seeing someone walk out feeling confident again never gets old.”
Laura, meanwhile, loves tackling complex colour correction work, creating truly bespoke results for each client. As a L’Oréal salon and GHD Destination Salon, The Colour Haus also offers professional products in-salon, making it easy for clients to maintain their look at home.
What’s trending right now?
One of the biggest shifts Victoria has noticed is a move towards grey blending and natural tones. “More women are embracing what their hair wants to do,” she explains. “It’s about working with natural light and dark shades, reducing brassiness, and helping people feel comfortable in their own skin.”
New services worth shouting about
There’s exciting news on the beauty side too. Casey has spent significant time training in massage, drawing on her experience working on cruise ships, and is now also qualified in DermaQuest medical-grade facials. These treatments use active ingredients that work deeper within the skin to actively renew and regenerate – a fantastic addition to the salon’s already impressive offering.
On the doorstep
Asked about life on the Terry Dicken Business Park, Victoria is enthusiastic. “It just keeps getting better,” she says. “So many facilities are right on our doorstep. We use Wasley Chapman accountants, Clevedale Vets and Direct Business Supplies to name a few. You can genuinely get so much done here without going elsewhere.”
Despite all the change, Victoria is especially grateful for the loyalty of her clients. “There’s been a lot of transition, but people have trusted us – and trusted the team – to deliver the same level of expertise and care.”
With a refreshed team, new services, and a loyal client base, The Colour Haus continues to thrive and we’re delighted to have them as part of the Terry Dicken Business Park community.
