A Healthy Team Starts with a Healthy Heart
Looking after your team’s heart health isn’t just good for them — it’s good for business. Preventing heart disease can save the NHS thousands and reduce costly long-term sick pay for employers.
Therefore, Heartbeat Primary Care CIC is offering free Healthy Heart Checks for businesses with 250 employees or fewer in Hambleton and Richmondshire.
During these quick, easy checks we measure cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure to calculate your Healthy Heart Age and assess your cardiovascular risk over the next 10 years. Let’s help you take the first step toward better heart health.
When
Appointments are available on the afternoon of Wednesday 10th December 2025 (up to 24 places).
If this date doesn’t suit, other Wednesday afternoons can be arranged — subject to availability.
This North Yorkshire County Council initiative runs until 31st March 2026, so act soon!
How it works
Email Sandy with your company name, address, and number of staff who can attend on 10th December.
Sandy will send a link for your staff to order their free test kits and full instructions
Staff must order kits 2–3 days before their appointment
Once received, follow the app’s instructions — results are ready in under 7 minutes
On the agreed date, each person meets with a Healthcare Assistant for a 15-minute review of results, blood pressure, and heart health
To be held in a private room at the Springboard Business Centre on Ellerbeck Way, Stokesley
Eligibility
This project is aimed at working adults aged 25–64 who have not had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years.
You are not eligible if you’ve been prescribed statins or diagnosed with:
Coronary heart disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, TIA, familial hypercholesterolaemia, heart failure, peripheral arterial disease, or stroke.
Confidentiality
Finally, all health information is treated in strict confidence. Results are recorded only for clinical care purposes with your consent.
