Roseberry Pet Crematorium
Roseberry Pet Crematorium provides a compassionate, caring and individual pet cremation service across Teesside and North Yorkshire.
Ben Murphy and his small family run team were inspired to start Roseberry Pet Crematorium after experiencing a heartbreaking loss of their own.
A personal mission
“Our beloved dogs, Rocky and Bailey, passed away at 15 years old just after the pandemic.” Ben explained. “On top of the distress we were already in, we found the experience unnecessarily dispassionate. Vet practices are busy environments and we do understand the need to not upset other pet owners or their pets. However our final goodbye felt rushed, undignified and was really upsetting. We also had to wait over two weeks for the ashes to be returned.”
Determined to provide a better experience for other pet owners, the family of animal lovers created Roseberry Pet Crematorium.
Your final farewell
“It starts with providing a comfortable space to say goodbye,” explained Ben. “With that in mind we created the Roseberry farewell room. This is a tranquil and calming space where people have the time they need to say goodbye to their pet, prior to cremation. We understand that pets grieve too so we welcome pet owners to bring other pets along to say their goodbye. Families can take all the time they need to say goodbye to their beloved pet, without feeling rushed.”
Individual pet cremation
“With Roseberry Pet Crematorium, each pet is treated with the upmost dignity and respect. All cremations are individual and ashes are returned within two working days, meaning families don’t have to put their grief on hold.”
Care and respect
“Because our cremations usually take place on the same day of collection, we never freeze pets. They will be collected in one of our sterile beds, wrapped up in a blanket and given a teddy, which will stay with them until cremation. We hope that families find it comforting that their much-loved pet is being cared for with the upmost respect and dignity, during such a difficult time.”
Our transparent pricing
“People choose to remember their pets in all sorts of ways. We weren’t made aware of all of the options available to us at our time of loss. So we aim to be transparent not only with our pricing, but with the many options open to bereaved pet owners. Everything is detailed on our website. Pricing includes a scatter tube, fur clipping and a paw print as standard. However there any many other options. For example, we have a variety of urns, keepsakes and memory bears to help you keep your loved one close by.”
More than just a crematorium
“For those with elderly pets or for pets suffering with illness, we’ll offer pre-paid funeral plans. Helping families prepare for the inevitable with peace of mind. Ultimately, when the time comes, everyone grieves differently. With that in mind, I’m training as a pet bereavement counsellor, linking in with the Blue Cross. Above all, to provide aftercare for those customers who might need it. Ensuring that families have access to emotional support after their loss.”
All species welcome
“All species of pet are welcomed at Roseberry Pet Crematorium. For example cats, dogs, hamsters, parrots, goldfish and even snakes will all be treated equally and receive a dignified end of life. We also want to be available to our local community to help in the event of someone finding deceased wildlife. Often distressing, we can be called on to respectfully remove and cremate their remains.”
Roseberry Pet Crematorium is a welcome addition to the Terry Dicken Business Park community. But what made the family choose to house their unique business here?
Pleasure to work with
“I’ve been a business park customer for ages,” said Ben. “Using businesses such as Hunters Raw, Stokesley Hand Car Wash and HFC for years. When we started looking for premises the Terry Dicken Business Park was recommended. A suitable unit wasn’t available when I first called Mark. But his communication was great, giving me plenty of notice when new units came up. He’s an absolute pleasure to work with. When something needs doing Mark sends in handyman (and all-round good fellow) Dave to help out. Little things like that make all the difference especially as I’m terrible with a drill!”
Roseberry Pet Crematorium invites pet owners to visit their facility in Stokesley by appointment.
