We first met Alice in Oct 2019 when she had followed her passion and started her holistic business. Let’s find out what’s new.
The WOW factor
“Although first I wasn’t sure about setting up a holistic treatment room in an office building I knew exactly what was needed to create a safe and relaxing environment, so I took a chance. I wanted clients coming in for massages and reflexology to open the door and get the wow factor when they saw the treatment room. Initially many clients walked in asking “Am I in the right place?” but once in the room they relaxed. So many times people walk in with shoulders like a coat hanger and then they walk out all relaxed and flexible. So I know I’m doing a good job!”
Tenant collaboration
“After a few months my diary started filling up and I was building up the client base quickly. One of the many benefits to being based on the park is the opportunity to work with the other tenants. I got involved with Your Voucher Book and their 2-4-1 offer brought lots of clients in, many of who are now regulars. It’s common for me to treat generations of the same family, – Grandma, Mum and daughter. The Feature Friday article and the advert in the business park newsletter really helped create bookings for massages and reflexology. Then covid hit and we had no option but to close.”
This saw Alice with a 9 month hiatus in Jersey and ample opportunity for new learning. Fast forward to today and Alice now has a whole host of new services on offer!
Brand new treatment list
Let’s start with one for all you super sporty people – Deep tissue massage.
“I have lots of sports clients such as avid runners and even a boxer! By speaking with the client and understanding which area needs the most attention I can then create a bespoke deep tissue massage that releases toxins and can improve their range of movement. I’ve also introduced;
Indian head massage – A range of movements including the use of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas to reduce stress.
Warm bamboo massage – an effective way to release stress and tension, using warm bamboo tools of varying lengths and diameters to roll, knead and relax the muscles
Pregnancy massage – massage techniques specific to the many anatomical changes a woman undergoes during pregnancy
Crystal therapy – a type of alternative therapy that involves using crystals to bring balance to an individual’s life and mind.
I’m also offering luxury facial treatments using tropic skincare range. These are suitable for both men and women so anyone looking to rejuvenate their skin and prevent ageing should consider this type of treatment.”
Back in business
“I’ve been completely overwhelmed by my clients who have been so loyal. I’m literally booking into winter already. I just love being back in my favourite place. Hearing clients say “I thoroughly enjoyed that’ and “that was absolutely wonderful’ is the icing on the cake.”

“The Terry Dicken Business Park was definitely the right choice. I wasn’t aware of all the other businesses within my area. I’ve been able to work with a number of them for different things. Getting to know my neighbours means I can also recommend them to my customers. I did social media training with Catch Design Management and they also helped me set up my website. People here are never too busy to help you out. I feel safe and secure here and there’s ample free parking. Being so close to Stokesley High Street is also convenient.”
